About The Position

The Revenue Cycle Lead serves as a resource for staff and functions to assist supervisory staff in assigned area with workflow and day-to-day operations. This role involves interacting with coworkers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. The Lead will assist supervisory staff in areas of workflow and day-to-day operations to ensure department goals are met. Additionally, the role includes conducting training and mentoring sessions for new and existing staff, assisting employees with day-to-day questions, issues, or problems, and escalating identified systemic issues to a supervisor. The Revenue Cycle Lead will also manage their own assigned work queue(s).

Requirements

  • Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Effective problem-solving skills required.
  • Must be able to meet departmental goals on an ongoing basis.
  • Experience with revenue cycle applications/systems.
  • Awareness of compliance and regulatory guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • High School Diploma/Equivalent and 4 years of experience in a healthcare/revenue cycle setting with specific experience in business functions such as registration, follow up, denials, and payment posting.
  • Patient Financial Services Specialist II Certification (through Clarivate)
