About The Position

The Corporate Business Office is seeking a dynamic and talented Revenue Cycle Analyst - Data and Analytics. As a Revenue Cycle Analyst, you’ll be responsible for assessing current revenue cycle processes and workflows; identifying areas for efficiency and effectiveness enhancements, collaborating with teams (e.g., registration, billing, charging, coding, collections, and denials management) to streamline processes, reduce and recover denials, and optimize cash flow; and analyzing and monitoring revenue cycle metrics to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Revenue Cycle Analysts perform a broad range of Revenue Cycle support functions including system maintenance, data analysis, report creation, and process improvement activities with oversight from other team members and management. Revenue Cycle Analysts performing Analytics are responsible for reviewing and manipulating raw data and leveraging data analytics to identify and communicate trends and issues, combining revenue cycle expertise with advanced analytics capabilities to transform raw data into actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience and a relevant college degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, health information management, or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of healthcare finance or revenue cycle operations, including an understanding of registration, charging, billing, collections, and denials management processes.
  • An understanding of and experience with SQL programming, including query development, is required.
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiencies in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multitask.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with other types of programming languages and applications, including Python, Cache, Tableau, and Java is preferred.
  • Significant Revenue Cycle experience (i.e., 5+ years in addition to the minimum) might be accepted in lieu of certain college education requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Distributes monthly, weekly, and ad hoc reports for both internal and external parties including corporate departments, central billing office leaders, facility leaders, and consultants according to customer specifications
  • Assists more senior team members in designing and building reports and analyses
  • Supports efforts and initiatives related to system implementations, process and technology improvement, and standardization
  • Reviews weekly reports to identify issues affecting the timely resolution of patient collections and communicates trends to end users, including Central Billing Office (CBO) and facility leaders
  • Performs all other duties as assigned/required
