About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Revenue Cycle Advisor to evaluate revenue cycle performance operations, ensuring appropriate reimbursement of professional and technical services. This remote position involves developing and evaluating plans for optimal revenue cycle performance, facilitating training on billing compliance, conducting financial analysis of payment trends, and monitoring quality assurance standards. The role requires an understanding of the financial process from patient registration to final payment and the ability to analyze and improve business processes. Requirements

  • Revenue Cycle (Intermediate): Knowledge of the financial process to track patient care from registration and scheduling to the final payment of a balance.
  • Problem Solving (Intermediate): Uses critical thinking and process improvement i.e. coaches and mentors development of problem statement, describes current state, identifies root causes, creates future state, coaches and mentors development of solutions and action plans with a sustainability plan. Applies appropriate tools to address issues.
  • Process Improvement (Intermediate): Identifies, analyzes and improves upon existing business processes for optimization and to meet standards of quality.
  • Relevant Work Experience
  • 2 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree
