About The Position

Marsh is seeking a Revenue Billing Specialist to join its Controllers team. The role is based in Urbandale and follows a hybrid arrangement, with at least six office days per month. The Specialist supports firm Partners with revenue recognition and client invoicing by evaluating project completion each month and ensuring compliance with revenue guidelines and procedures. The role also supports reporting, case economics analysis, and accounting projects, including audit support.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in a professional environment.
Bachelor’s degree.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Review contracts for projects sold by Partners and manage the setup of new projects.
Interpret contractual language and ensure applicable criteria, such as written acceptance, are met.
Work with Partners monthly to assess project completion and recognize or adjust revenue appropriately.
Ensure client invoices are sent in accordance with contracts or Partner instructions.
Follow up with external clients regarding outstanding payments and supporting documentation needed to process payment.
Request a signed contract or other persuasive evidence after a code is created to confirm an agreement with the client exists.
Manage the monthly forecast before a signed contract is received and alert upper management to potential revenue delays due to lack of persuasive evidence.
Assist with monthly reports distributed to case managers and answer questions about case profitability, billing rates, contractual office, and other case economics.
Assist the Accounting Manager with additional projects, such as time-sheet review, case expense analysis, and internal and external audit support.
