About The Position

The Revenue Audit Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining the Revenue Audit department’s general accounting for revenue and auditing reporting, internal controls, statistical reporting, daily distribution of non-gaming and casino performance, and reconciliations. This role involves preparing and analyzing audit paperwork and reports, developing and implementing recommendations for improved efficiency, and reviewing daily audits, exception reports, and audit documentation for completeness and accuracy. The supervisor will ensure all transactional activity is recorded timely and accurately, and that fraud risk findings are communicated to and investigated by appropriate personnel. Additionally, the role requires promoting, developing, and maintaining effective communication with internal and external guests, assisting in the audit of various areas such as Cage, VGD, Jackpots/W-2Gs, Table Games, Poker, F&B, Gift Shop, and Manual Comps/Adjustments. The supervisor will also improve staff effectiveness through coaching, counseling, and training, coordinate technology needs, and represent the department to external agencies. A positive and professional demeanor is expected when engaging with guests and team members, and creating a positive work environment is essential. Other duties as assigned will also be part of the role.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • Two (2) years of related accounting experience (account reconciliations, journal entries and bank reconciliations on a computerized general ledger system) required.
  • Continued expert proficiency of all audits for more than 24 consecutive months required.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of casino revenue audit experience in a supervisory/lead role may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
  • One (1) year of gaming industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Revenue Audit department’s general accounting for revenue and auditing reporting, internal controls, statistical reporting, daily distribution of non-gaming and casino performance, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze audit paperwork and reports; develops and implements recommendations for improved efficiency.
  • Review daily audits, exception reports, and audit documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure all transactional activity is recorded timely and accurately.
  • Ensure fraud risk findings are communicated to and investigated by appropriate property personnel.
  • Communicate problems or discrepancies to management in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Promote, develop, and maintain effective communication, interaction, and excellent relationship with internal and external guests, including ensuring their requirements are identified and consistently met.
  • Assist, monitor, and review daily audit of the following areas including but not limited to: Cage, VGD, Jackpots/W-2Gs, Table Games, Poker, F&B, Gift Shop, and Manual Comps/Adjustments
  • Improve staff effectiveness by coaching, counseling, training, and recommending corrective action for team members; and planning, delegating, monitoring, and appraising job tasks and results in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate the technology needs of the office; ensures staff is fully trained on systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Communicate with and represents MIC to external agencies, consultants and other organizations and individuals.
  • Assist staff to ensure all job duties are completed in a timely manner and in the case of absences.

  • Perform other duties as assigned and/or needed.
