Returns Processor Associate - 1st Shift
About The Position
The Returns Processor Associate serves as the processor for a designated work area in the department, meeting key performance indicators while supporting daily operations and following facility safety guidelines. Based at Siemens’ Memphis Distribution Center in Southaven, Mississippi, the associate processes returned orders and performs related material-handling and warehouse tasks. The role works under the direction of the Operations Supervisor and collaborates with customer service, business partners, and team members to maintain an accurate and efficient work environment.
Requirements
- Computer skills, including experience with warehouse management systems.
- Material handling experience.
- Stand-up forklift experience.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a high-volume distribution center or large retail operation.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with SAP, RF scanning, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- 5 years of direct operations experience.
- Forklift certification.
Responsibilities
- Follow directives from the Operations Supervisor and manage daily production tasks.
- Inspect and process returned orders, ensuring accuracy and proper condition.
- Use scanning guns to verify shipment details.
- Handle cartons, including repacking, relabeling, and returning them to pallets.
- Operate a pallet jack and maintain forklift certification.
- Support communication with customer service and business partners, and suggest process improvements.
- Collaborate with team members, apply critical thinking, and use SAP and WMS systems to maintain a positive, efficient work environment.
- Meet and maintain key performance indicators for the work area while adhering to facility safety guidelines.
