About The Position

The Retirement Plan Manager provides strategic and operational oversight of the Company’s qualified retirement plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, effective vendor management, and a strong participant experience. This role is responsible for the end-to-end administration, governance, and ongoing evolution of retirement programs, including plan design, migrations, and alignment with organizational and physician group objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field required.
  • 7–10 years of retirement plan experience, including plan administration and vendor management.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and qualified plan compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated experience with plan migrations, integrations, or MEP structures strongly preferred.
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership or physician groups preferred.
  • CEBS, C(k)P, QKA or similar certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic oversight of day‑to‑day administration of retirement plans, ensuring accurate and timely processing of contributions, loans, distributions, eligibility, and plan transactions across the enterprise.
  • Accountable for regulatory compliance with ERISA, IRS, and DOL requirements; oversees audits, regulatory filings, nondiscrimination testing, and governance of plan documentation and controls.
  • Leads retirement vendor management strategy, including selection, performance management, and governance of recordkeepers, TPAs, advisors, and other service providers.
  • Oversees profit‑sharing strategy and execution, ensuring alignment with plan design objectives, coordination with Finance/Payroll, and stakeholder communication.
  • Leads plan migrations, integrations, and participation in the Company’s MEP strategy, including onboarding new markets and transitioning legacy plans to promote growth and scalability.
  • Supports fiduciary governance by preparing materials for Retirement Committee meetings, coordinating investment reviews, and ensuring appropriate documentation of fiduciary decisions and actions.
  • Directs retirement education and communication strategy, delivering plan performance insights, enhancements, and educational presentations to physician groups (CGBs) and senior leadership.
  • Monitors plan analytics, participation, and utilization trends; provides recommendations to enhance plan design, competitiveness, and employee engagement.
  • Partners closely with internal stakeholders (HR, Payroll, Finance, Legal) to ensure alignment and execution of retirement strategies.
  • Participates in vendor RFPs, plan design enhancements, and Total Rewards initiatives.
  • Manages and develops direct report, including oversight of day-to-day execution and professional development.
