Retention Specialist

About The Position

The Retention Specialist maintains the renewal book of business and, as needed, quotes, sells, and services insurance products while providing excellent customer service. The position services auto, home, and commercial insurance and works directly with customers on service needs while assisting sales agents.

Responsibilities

Update the Policy Expiration Report daily to maintain an accurate list of renewals.
Process and/or re-quote renewal policies as needed.
Complete applications for new insurance policies as necessary.
Follow up on and complete underwriting requirements from insurance companies.
Set up customers in the Insurance Management System and/or update customer information in the system.
Scan documents into the Insurance Management System.
Initiate policy changes with insurance companies and update the Insurance Management System.
Pull and process mail daily.
Send postcards, new market letters, or other insurance literature as needed.
Assist branch personnel and/or other agents as needed.
Provide excellent customer service to coworkers and the public.
Keep current with insurance laws and regulations.
Follow Bank Secrecy Act policies and procedures to assist in detecting and preventing money laundering and other illegal activities conducted through the company.
