Retail Weekend Cashier
About The Position
The Retail Weekend Cashier is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The cashier accurately processes purchases and returns, counts change, promotes credit and loyalty programs, and supports merchandising, sales-floor recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. The role also contributes to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, respect, teamwork, and constructive feedback, while adhering to labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned. The position is at TJ Maxx Store 1626 in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, at 650 Old Willow Ave. Starting pay is $13.25 to $13.75 per hour, with actual starting pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following customer experience principles.
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
