About The Position

Coleman Oil Company is hiring a part-time weekend Retail Cashier for its Sunset Mart store in Sprague. The cashier is a welcoming, frontline representative who provides friendly, efficient service and helps create a positive shopping experience by greeting customers, answering questions, and managing smooth checkout operations. The position may also fill in when needed.

Requirements

• Must be 19 years of age or older.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, enthusiasm for learning new skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow company policies and directions and understand and comply with local, state, and federal laws concerning the sale of alcohol and tobacco products.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds to a height of at least 4 feet, with or without reasonable accommodation, and stand for prolonged periods.
• Maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality, including availability for shifts throughout store operating hours.

• Previous cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers professionally throughout their store visit.
• Process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately using the store’s Point of Sale system, and balance the register at the end of the shift.
• Assist with stocking, organizing, and rotating inventory.
• Clean and maintain the store floor and contribute to general store upkeep.
• Operate and maintain company equipment, and promptly report workplace hazards, injuries, and incidents to store leadership.
• Promote company-sponsored incentives, promotions, and rewards programs.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
