About The Position

Boscov’s is hiring a Retail Visual Specialist to execute visual merchandising in a store location. The role is part of a fast-paced visual merchandising team and involves engaging customers through storewide visual programs, collaborating with coworkers, and helping ensure customer needs are met efficiently. Candidates with visual merchandising or customer service experience are encouraged to apply.

The specialist follows corporate visual direction while adapting presentations to the store, coordinates with store management and department managers, and maintains store presentations and visual merchandising materials. The position may also assist with store openings or renovation floor sets that could involve overnight travel.

Requirements

• Experience in merchandising and styling, with knowledge of current trends.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Professionalism, strong organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and understand floor plans and planograms.
• Comfort operating a computer or tablet and willingness to learn new programs and systems.
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision.

• Previous visual merchandising experience or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute all aspects of visual merchandising at the assigned location.
• Follow corporate visual direction and adapt it to the location.
• Partner with the store manager, assistant manager, and department managers to execute presentations.
• Follow event calendars and sale dates to set promotional events.
• Update and maintain fashion-forward mannequins and forms weekly.
• Adjust accent lighting as needed for presentations.
• Maintain existing presentations throughout the store as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the visual shop and fixture/hardware area.
• Attend weekly WEBEX calls for visual merchandising direction.
• Communicate by email with store management and corporate visual teams.
• Use web-based order forms to order graphics, vinyl, and supplies according to corporate guidelines.
• Assist with store openings and renovation floor sets, which could include overnight travel.
• Engage customers through storewide visual merchandising programs.
