About The Position

Whistle Workwear, part of the Work World family of brands, is seeking a motivated Retail Sales Associate to support the success of its store in Lacey, Washington. Work World is a specialty retailer of workwear, work boots, apparel, scrubs, and safety gear, with more than 30 stores across California, Nevada, and Washington. The company emphasizes honesty, respect, integrity, and creating meaningful customer connections.

The role provides helpful product and service information, assists customers in person and by phone, maintains and replenishes merchandise, processes sales transactions, labels merchandise and displays pricing, and supports daily sales objectives. The store offers a close-knit, collaborative team environment. Employees can develop leadership and organizational skills, learn sales and merchandising practices, strengthen customer service and communication abilities, adapt to a fast-paced retail environment, and build relationships with customers and coworkers.

The position is part-time, on the evening shift, and pays $17.13–$18.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain a professional appearance.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Sales experience is a plus.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with helpful information about store products and services.
• Assist customers with questions and requests in person and over the phone.
• Welcome and support customers with friendly, professional service.
• Maintain stock levels and replenish merchandise as needed.
• Accurately process sales transactions, including payments and receipt distribution.
• Label merchandise and ensure pricing is displayed correctly.
• Support the team in achieving daily sales objectives.
