About The Position

The Retail Team Member is cross-trained between Food Service and Front-of-Store and helps create an exceptional experience for every customer. The role includes preparing fresh food, assisting customers, maintaining the store and food displays, stocking supplies, and supporting the team wherever needed. Team Members are expected to deliver Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) customer-service behaviors and adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environment. Starting pay is $14–$16 per hour. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Requirements

• Hardworking and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to multitask and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Flexible schedule; stores operate 24/7, and shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Handler Permit, if required by the applicable store, county, or jurisdiction.
• Able to meet the physical demands of frequent standing, walking, handling, horizontal reaching, reaching above shoulder level and below the waist, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, pushing, and potentially lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work safely with high-temperature-generating and high-temperature-maintaining equipment while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by demonstrating Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors with every customer.
• Transition between roles, engage customers, and stock supplies.
• Prepare Maverik recipes and keep food displays clean and ready for customer use.
• Help keep the store running smoothly and looking its best.
• Adapt to changing situations and provide service in a fast-paced environment.
• Work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
