About The Position

As a Retail Team Member at Maverik, you will help create an exceptional experience for customers and keep the store running smoothly. The role is cross-trained between Food Service and Front-of-Store and involves preparing food, helping customers, maintaining the store, and supporting the team. You will be expected to adapt to changing situations and work in a fast-paced environment. Maverik stores operate 24/7, so schedule flexibility may include nights, weekends, and holidays. A food handler permit is required if applicable to the store, county, or jurisdiction.

• Able to meet the physical requirements, including frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing, and lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work safely with high-temperature equipment while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by demonstrating Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors with every customer.
• Transition between tasks such as engaging customers, stocking supplies, and maintaining food displays.
• Prepare Maverik recipes and ensure food displays are clean and ready for customer use.
• Adapt to changing situations and provide service in a fast-paced environment.
• Help keep the store running smoothly and maintain the store’s appearance.
• Work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
