About The Position

The Retail Team Leader, internally titled Zone Team Leader, serves as a store keyholder and provides guidance and direction for the successful operation of an assigned zone on the retail sales floor. The role oversees associates focused on merchandising and selling merchandise, while supporting an exceptional associate and customer experience. Responsibilities include merchandising and customer service oversight, maintaining operational standards, and helping ensure merchandise is planned, received, processed, and stocked appropriately. The Team Leader may perform store opening and closing functions as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1–2 years of supervisory experience with a mid- to large-size retailer.
• Schedule flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well with customers and associates as a team player.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Execute established procedures for the assigned zone, including merchandising, signage, displays, replenishment, pricing, ad sets, and daily recovery.
• Ensure store standards, operational compliance, seasonal planning, inventory processes, and company programs meet operational expectations.
• Oversee processes to ensure merchandise is planned for and received and the sales floor is properly stocked.
• Ensure appropriate scheduling and staffing for unloading and processing merchandise to the sales floor.
• Drive associate productivity, daily task assignment, and customer service standards.
• Supervise associates within the assigned zone and communicate company directives to ensure follow-up is completed.
• Perform Team Leader functions to open and close the store when needed.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
