About The Position

The Retail Team Leader, internally titled Zone Team Leader, serves as a store keyholder and provides guidance and direction for the successful operation of an assigned zone on the retail sales floor. The role oversees a team focused on merchandising and selling merchandise while supporting an exceptional associate and customer experience. Responsibilities cover merchandising and customer service oversight, operational standards, inventory processes, staffing, and associate supervision. The Team Leader may perform functions to open and close the store when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1–2 years of supervisory experience with a mid- to large-size retailer.
• Schedule flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as a team player and interact well with customers and associates.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Execute procedures for the assigned zone, including merchandising, signage, displays, replenishment, pricing, advertising sets, and daily recovery.
• Ensure store standards, operational compliance, seasonal planning, inventory processes, and company programs meet operational expectations.
• Oversee the process for planning for and receiving merchandise, and ensure the sales floor is properly stocked.
• Ensure appropriate scheduling and staffing for unloading and processing merchandise to the sales floor while supporting associate productivity, daily task assignments, and customer service standards.
• Supervise associates within the assigned zone and communicate company directives to ensure follow-up is completed.
• Perform Team Leader functions to open and close the store when needed.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
