About The Position

The Retail Team Leader will assist store management with the execution of daily operations of a retail store, excluding personnel issues. This role involves general operations, administrative duties, sales reporting, overseeing personnel and volunteers, directing training, enforcing policies, maintaining the grounds and building, enhancing security, and ensuring safety compliance. The position also requires performing the duties of a Lead Cashier and Retail Associate as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year experience in retail operations required.
  • Demonstrate accuracy with accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Handle customer complaints in a courteous and responsible manner.
  • Must be able to provide positive internal and external customer relations and easily interact and work with individuals referred for training.
  • Demonstrate ability to think independently in supervisor's absence.
  • Meet production goals.
  • Demonstrate quality control and accuracy with sorting and pricing guidelines.
  • Follow 6S Checklist, procedures, signage, and layout.
  • Maintain a good driving record, valid insurance, and valid driver license.
  • Maintain a valid powered industrial truck license, when required.

Nice To Haves

  • Use of personal vehicle to conduct agency business, as needed.
  • Some travel required for off-site meetings and coverage at other stores.

Responsibilities

  • Assist store management with general operations, including acquisition, display, and sale of merchandise, rotation of goods, pricing, and inventory management.
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties related to store operations.
  • Provide sales reports and accurate retail information in a timely manner.
  • Oversee all personnel, clients, and volunteers assigned to the retail store.
  • Direct training for staff and volunteers.
  • Enforce store procedures and company policies on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ensure the grounds and building are properly maintained, reporting needs for repairs and recommending replacements.
  • Enhance security and loss prevention measures.
  • Ensure safety compliance with all OSHA/MIOSHA requirements and company safety regulations.
  • Perform job functions of a Lead Cashier and Retail Associate as required.
