About The Position

The Member Services team is looking for a Retail Support Agent who can provide exemplary customer service and support. The ideal candidate will be a welcoming individual who goes above and beyond to assist members with retail items and membership products and services. This role requires someone who enjoys understanding and anticipating member needs, and digging deep to find the right answers. AMA is a family-oriented organization that helps protect its over one-million members in areas such as roadside safety, retail savings, food security, and childhood well-being. With operations spanning automotive, registries, travel, and insurance, there are ample opportunities for growth. Requirements

  • At least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma.
  • Updated Police Information Check (PIC).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Sales or customer service experience.
  • Commitment to learning.
  • 1-2 years of retail and/or administrative experience.
  • Awesome attitude and genuine desire to help people.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Manager, Member Services.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and support to members, staying informed about and promoting appropriate AMA products and services.
  • Accurately, confidentially, and in a timely manner, complete membership, basic registry, and entry-level travel product and service transactions.
  • Professionally engage members in a welcoming and positive manner to determine their needs and handle retail transactions within centers. Retail transactions include, but are not limited to: membership support, gift card sales, movie pass sales, International Driver’s Permits, road test check-ins, Parks Canada passes, Driver’s Education programs, ski passes, passport photos, basic registry services, and other retail items sold in center.
  • Provide back-up support for Member Services Coordinators.
  • Perform various administrative tasks as assigned, including assisting agents with hold support, document printing, inventory, gift card counts, custodian duties, cash out, and other assigned duties.
  • Assess member needs and match them with the appropriate representative best qualified to complete the relevant product and/or service, especially for complex customer needs requiring specialization.
