About The Position

Metz Culinary Management is seeking a Retail Supervisor to oversee operations and employee management across a café, food court with local and national concept brand outlets, and grab-and-go outlets. The role focuses on food quality, customer service, hospitality, and retail sales in a cash-handling food operation, with front- and back-of-house responsibilities. The supervisor may assume the General Manager’s responsibilities and authority in their absence and assists with cash control, payroll records, and financial and HR functions. This role may be a stepping-stone for an aspiring Food Service Director in a busy, spirited setting. Requirements

Related experience in retail food service management.
Ability to read and write, perform simple math, and follow and give oral and written instructions.

Nice To Haves

Experience in contract dining food service, such as hospital, school, college, senior living, or corporate dining accounts.

Responsibilities

Oversee retail operations and employee management across food outlets.
Maintain food quality and customer service in a cash-handling retail food operation.
Build customer satisfaction and maintain good public relations, with a strong focus on hospitality and unexpected service.
Order and purchase products and supplies.
Conduct weekly and month-end inventory.
Maintain food cost goals.
Develop and oversee production of the café’s daily menu.
Complete weekly production prep and pull sheets.
Train and schedule café staff.
Follow cash-handling procedures for registers and the safe.
Assist with maintaining cash control and payroll records.
Assist in supporting financial and HR functions.
Assume the General Manager’s responsibilities and authority in their absence.
Maintain a professional uniform appearance.
