About The Position

This is a full-time Retail Supervisor position within Food and Nutrition. The role involves supervising staff, maintaining communication with ordering and production teams to manage inventories and food production, and assisting with requisitions and daily ordering. The supervisor is responsible for upholding Food & Nutrition and SRH policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations from agencies like DHEC/DNV, and making sure team members have the necessary equipment and supplies. The position also requires staying updated on market trends and customer expectations, maintaining high standards of quality and customer service, supporting applicable Performance Improvement (PI) initiatives, and ensuring equipment is well-maintained and the facility is in good repair. The supervisor will also oversee registers, cashiers, and cash handling systems, and perform other duties as assigned by the Retail Sales Manager or Department Director.

Requirements

Minimum of three years previous foodservice experience in a retail setting with team member supervision.
Excellent oral and written communication and people skills.
Strong commitment to customer service.
Ability to manage and appropriately prioritize multiple assignments.
Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.
PC literate and the ability to learn new computer programs quickly.
Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
Strong computer, analytical, mathematical, and interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

Supervises staff and upholds regular communications with F&N ordering and production staff to ensure proper inventories and food production.
Assist with requisitions and daily ordering.
Upholds F&N and SRH policies and procedures.
Upholds safety, DHEC/DNV and all other regulatory agencies standards, ensures the same of team members.
Ensures team members have appropriate equipment and supplies.
Stay abreast of market trends and customer/patient expectations.
Upholds high standards of quality, customer service, service recovery.
Supports applicable PI.
Ensures equipment is kept in excellent working condition and facility is kept in good repair.
Performs any other functions as outlined by Retail Sales Manager or Department Director.
Supervises registers, cashiers, and the cash handling systems.
