About The Position

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, the Retail Store Processor helps turn donations into funding for programs that support the community. The role processes and prepares donated goods, keeps the store organized, and helps meet production goals. Paid training on store procedures is provided, along with ongoing coaching and support from store leadership. The position offers an opportunity to build retail and customer service skills in a team-oriented, mission-driven environment.

Requirements

• Ability to process donated merchandise.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day.
• High school diploma or currently pursuing.

• Previous retail or thrift store experience.

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise.
• Help track and report production numbers.
• Move processed merchandise to the sales floor.
• Provide friendly, helpful service to donors.
• Receive trucks and assist with loading, unloading, and moving products to the correct departments.
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces.
• Work with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock.
