About The Position

The Retail Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for keeping the store clean, organized, and recovered, with a focus on floor care. The role involves operating floor-cleaning equipment and performing routine cleaning throughout the store, while maintaining company standards for customer experience, safety, merchandising, and loss prevention. Associates are cross-trained in multiple store areas and help meet business needs, including Front End coverage.

Requirements

• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the floor scrubber and buffer; dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Refill essential items in the Associate Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End as part of Health and Safety practices.
• Work in other store areas as needed, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Follow the company’s merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction practices.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
