Retail Store Cleaning Associate
About The Position
The Retail Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience through engaging with customers, applying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes supporting a positive store culture, assisting with customer purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, processing merchandise, and maintaining merchandising, recovery, cleanliness, and safety standards. Associates also support loss-prevention goals, follow labor laws and company procedures, and perform other duties as assigned. The position is at TJ Maxx Store 1454 in Henrico, Virginia. The starting pay range is $13.50 to $14.00 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
