About The Position

Join our team as a Retail Store Cleaner and help keep some of the nation's largest retail establishments clean, safe, and ready for customers. You will play a key role in the overall cleanliness and presentation of the store, ensuring a welcoming environment for customers and employees while enjoying stable hours and opportunities for growth. Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are preferred but not required.

Requirements

Some cleaning experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Handles all Porter requests as dictated by the client and scope of work the location.
Performs assignments according to company schedule and as expected by clients.
Performs all general required tasks as directed by Supervisor.
Handles floor care, including routine sweeping, mopping (dry and damp), vacuuming, and scrubbing when needed.
Spot cleans soiled areas as needed.
Conducts restroom cleaning, including but not limited to clean and sanitize toilets, basins, and urinals; re-stocks restrooms as needed.
Provides other cleaning services such as, dusting, trash removal, and window cleaning; wipes clean table tops and chairs; spot cleans walls and partitions and doors; cleans mirrors, counters and fixtures; and other area cleaning, including but not limited to deli and bakery areas, restaurant or café areas, offices, and other offstage areas located at the store and included in the scope of work.
Routinely refers to the daily task list that is located at each location the company services to ensure daily tasks are being completed in accordance to customer requirements and expectations.
Reports to work as scheduled and on time, and accurately reports time worked through the phone timekeeping systems.
Ensures schedule is being followed to prevent budget overages.
Addresses cleaning or scope concerns with onsite store manager as needed or directed.
Works as a team to with other Carlson staff members onsite to properly execute customer scope of work on a daily basis.
Operates all floor care machines and cleaning products safely and in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
Keeps storage area organizing and supplied, and requests needed products through supervisor.
Follows all safety requirements and procedures at all times.
Follows all company policies, including the anti-harassment policy.
Interacts respectfully with customers and personnel.
Checks that all equipment is in working order and that all necessary materials and equipment are available, including safety signs, tapes, and cones, and immediately informs supervisor of any equipment problems or shortages.
Follows instructions on specific cleaning projects completed each shift.
Reports all work-related injuries to supervisor on the date of occurrence.
Immediately reports all falls or other injuries (including those of store customers and personnel) to supervisor and to any onsite store manager.
Reports store damage to supervisor immediately and cleans up as needed.
If working at another location or covering another position will refer to store’s task list to complete routine as required by the client and within scheduled hours.
Drives a culture of constant improvement, identifying and implementing changes to increase productivity and efficiency of service.
Enforces Sizemore’s policies and procedures as needed.
Additional duties assigned, as necessary.
