Retail store cleaner
About The Position
This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment with a focus on floor care. Responsibilities include the operation of the scrubber and buffer, dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. The cleaner adheres to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. This position is cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs. The role models established customer experience practices, supports a positive store culture, and maintains all floor care cleanliness standards. They also maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the entire store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms. Adherence to all company policies concerning Health and Safety, including refilling essential items, is required. The cleaner is cross-trained in other areas of the store and supports Front End coverage needs. They adhere to and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards, initiate and participate in store recovery, and follow all operational and loss prevention controls. Communication with management and Associates is key, as is adherence to all labor laws and policies. Participation in safety awareness and maintaining a safe environment are also part of the role. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements

- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and run floor buffer and scrubber.
- Capability of multi-tasking.

- Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to be a standout colleague, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
