About The Position

A Retail Stocker at Simply Southern organizes and replenishes merchandise in retail stores so customers can find the products they are looking for. The role includes unloading and inspecting merchandise, organizing the stockroom and inventory, labeling and shelving products, and communicating with team members about where goods are stored. Stockers also maintain storage conditions and keep the stockroom clean. This is a seasonal position at the Tanger 17/N Myrtle location in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with a listed pay rate of $14.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to speak and read English.
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently to meet stocking and inventory deadlines.
• Basic math skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Warehouse or storeroom experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming merchandise and unload, sort, and store it according to established procedures.
• Follow safety practices when loading or unloading a truck or van.
• Inspect merchandise for quality and accuracy.
• Arrange products precisely on shelves.
• Stock storeroom shelves and keep inventory organized.
• Manage and maintain storage conditions for goods in the storeroom.
• Communicate with team members about where goods are located in the storeroom.
• Dispose of trash and maintain storeroom cleanliness.
