About The Position

A Retail Stocker at Simply Southern organizes and replenishes goods in retail stores so consumers can access the merchandise they are looking for. The role involves organizing product displays and storage and handling tasks such as unloading trucks, organizing the stockroom, counting inventory, adding price tags, placing products on shelves according to an organized system, and communicating with team members.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to speak and read English.
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently to meet stocking and inventory deadlines.
• Basic math skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and have the stamina to stand, walk, and lift for long periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Warehouse or storeroom experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming merchandise and ensure it is unloaded, sorted, and stored according to established procedures.
• Follow safety best practices when loading or unloading a truck or van.
• Inspect merchandise thoroughly for quality and accuracy.
• Organize and arrange products precisely on shelves.
• Stock storeroom shelves and keep inventory organized.
• Manage and maintain the storage conditions of goods in the storeroom.
• Communicate to team members where goods can be located in the storeroom.
• Dispose of trash and maintain storeroom cleanliness.
