About The Position

Nordstrom Rack is hiring a seasonal team member for its Bellevue Lincoln Square location. The role involves working in a fast-paced, high-energy store environment, collaborating with teammates, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, supporting a quick and easy customer experience, and keeping the store clean and clutter-free. Team members may work across Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment, and may occasionally help in different areas of the store based on business needs. Responsibilities vary by department and may include maintaining and replenishing the salesfloor, assisting customers with transactions and fitting rooms, organizing stockrooms, receiving and processing merchandise, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, and supporting store operations and events. The position requires continuous movement during shifts and handling merchandise, including lifting and carrying items.

Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the salesfloor runway-ready by re-merchandising, straightening, sizing, and filling merchandise throughout the day.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using point-of-sale systems; bag items and provide a friendly experience.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Keep the customer area clean and clutter-free by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in store technologies and follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived goods to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly and in accordance with quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to packing and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, processing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
