About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing security operations within a retail environment. The supervisor will ensure the safety and security of employees, customers, and company assets. The position requires a strong understanding of security procedures, supervisory practices, and excellent customer service skills. The supervisor will also be responsible for directing staff, managing incidents, and maintaining a secure environment.

Requirements

Minimum of 18 years of age.
Clear a criminal background check.
High School Diploma and/or equivalent (GED).
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to facilitate progressive change, get along with other employees, follow directions and continually improve.
Clear and effective oral and written communications skills.
Minimum 2 years prior experience in loss prevention, life safety, CCTV systems and access computer system.
One year of supervisory experience within the Security Industry.
Willingness to submit to a background investigation.
State Guard License is required.
Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.
Must be able to meet and continue to meet requirements for specific skills, certifications or authorizations specified for the assigned site.
Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance.
Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls.
Ability to learn quickly and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
Courteous telephone manner.
Good organizational skills.
Strong customer service and results orientation.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements and site-specific requirements.

CPR and First Aid Certification a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee security operations within a retail environment.
Ensure the safety and security of employees, customers, and company assets.
Direct staff in a positive manner.
Manage incidents and maintain a secure environment.
Track and maintain schedule assignments.
Write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.
Interact effectively with clients, at various social levels and across diverse cultures.

Perform duties within the facility, including pushing/pulling/carrying/lifting up to 25 lbs, stair climbing, sitting, twisting, turning, and bending.
Stand for long periods of time.

Handle multiple tasks concurrently.
Perform keyboarding, basic computer usage, and operate controls.
Work overtime without advance notice.
May be required to use a vehicle for the performance of duties.
