About The Position
The Retail Security Officer helps maintain a safe environment by monitoring activity, assisting visitors, and responding to incidents. The role involves controlling entrances and traffic, patrolling buildings and surrounding areas, escorting personnel and materials, conducting inspections, documenting activity and incidents, responding to alarms and emergencies, and communicating with supervisors. The position is suited to someone who is alert, reliable, customer-focused, and able to remain calm in changing or stressful situations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3–6 months of security or life-safety experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks
- Vigilance, discipline, and observant behavior
- Clear and professional communication
- Ability to stay calm and focused in stressful situations
- Reliability and customer-service orientation
- Ability to adapt to changing environments
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
Responsibilities
