About The Position

The Flex Part-Time Retail Security Guard works at Battlefield Mall in Springfield, Missouri, helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers, employees, and vendors. The guard patrols assigned areas or maintains a fixed post, monitors activity and security systems, controls access and traffic, responds to incidents, and completes activity logs and reports. Officers are expected to arrive on time in full uniform, remain alert and proactive throughout their shifts, and meet all safety, training, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Patrol assigned areas or maintain a fixed post to monitor activity.
Control access points and manage pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
Identify and report suspicious activity, incidents, and safety concerns.
Respond to alarms, emergencies, and on-site incidents.
Monitor CCTV cameras and security systems.
Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and required documentation.
Maintain awareness of surroundings at all times.
Follow post orders, company policies, and safety procedures.
Maintain knowledge of emergency response protocols.
Inspect the property for safety risks, such as fire hazards and equipment issues.
Support loss prevention and recommend safety improvements.
Greet and assist customers, employees, and visitors professionally.
Provide directions and support as needed.
Maintain a visible, approachable presence on-site.
Arrive on time in full uniform and ready to work, and stay engaged and proactive throughout the shift.
