About The Position
The Yankee Candle Retail Seasonal Sales Associate helps deliver an exceptional guest experience and drive sales growth. The role supports a welcoming store environment, builds customer relationships through product knowledge, and applies company selling strategies to increase sales and loyalty. The associate also helps maintain visual standards and store cleanliness, supports the Store Manager and team, assists with inventory and expense control, and follows safety, loss prevention, company policy, and Code of Ethics requirements. The position is based in a retail store in Roanoke, Virginia, and requires working in a fragrance-filled environment. Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, are required. The Virginia base pay range is $12.77 to $15.96, with salary based on prior experience related to the required skills.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to a welcoming store environment focused on an exceptional guest experience.
- Understand guest needs through product knowledge and make emotional connections.
- Implement company selling strategies and build lasting customer relationships to maximize sales and enhance loyalty.
- Drive guest loyalty through the Rewards Loyalty program and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Help maintain the store’s appearance by following visual standards, including plan-o-grams, visual maintenance, signage, and cleanliness.
- Support the Store Manager in building a high-performing team that represents Newell Brand Values.
- Foster a positive work environment through teamwork and effective communication.
- Support inventory management activities and control expenses.
- Incorporate safety and loss prevention into daily activities and follow company policies and the Code of Ethics.
- Work toward achieving or exceeding KPI goals through strategic planning, effective execution, and continuous performance improvement.
