About The Position

The Retail Seasonal Sales Associate at Yankee Candle supports store sales and operations while delivering an exceptional guest experience. The role involves understanding guest needs through product knowledge, building customer relationships, promoting the Rewards Loyalty program, and meeting key performance goals. The associate also helps maintain the store’s appearance and supports inventory, safety, loss prevention, and expense-control activities. The position is based in a retail store and reports to the Store Manager.

Requirements

High school completion or equivalent GED.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work in a fragrance-filled environment.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

One or more years of experience in a retail environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Help create a welcoming store environment and deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Use product knowledge to understand guest needs and build emotional connections.
Implement company selling strategies, maximize sales, and build customer relationships that enhance loyalty.
Promote the Rewards Loyalty program and work toward relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Maintain store appearance in accordance with company visual standards, including plan-o-grams, visual maintenance, signage, and cleanliness.
Support the Store Manager in building a high-performing team that reflects Newell Brand Values.
Foster a positive work environment through teamwork and effective communication.
Support inventory management activities and control expenses.
Incorporate safety and loss prevention into daily activities and follow company policies and the Code of Ethics.
Strive to achieve or exceed KPI goals through planning, effective execution, and continuous performance improvement.
