About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. They use a downloadable app on their mobile phone to collect data, which is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates also provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned.

This is a permanent part-time position with base hours averaging 1–2 hours bi-weekly across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned for special projects throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Associates visit assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks, and must meet weekly deadlines. The role offers independence and some flexibility in working hours. Continuous physical activity is required during shifts. Full scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Must be able to remain on their feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Must be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
