About The Position

ScanScape is hiring a permanent part-time Retail Scan Associate to collect in-store product data at assigned local retailers each week, throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Associates visit designated stores and use a downloadable mobile app to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. For about 45% of scanned products, associates also report quantities. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The role averages 2–4 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Weekly display scanning covers the entire store and may take several hours; custom projects are requested almost every week and can add 30 minutes to 2 hours per store. Associates must meet weekly deadlines. The position offers independence and some flexibility in scheduling, tailored to personal scheduling needs and client requirements. Travel is paid at the hourly rate, excluding the first and last 15 minutes.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and be able to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
