About The Position

The Retail Scan Associate visits assigned local retail stores each week to collect in-store product data. Using a downloadable app on a mobile phone, the associate scans barcodes on products in displays and aisle locations throughout each store, including end caps. For about 45% of scanned products, the associate also records quantity. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The role includes weekly display scanning of the entire store, which may take several hours, and custom projects requested by clients. Custom projects occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store. Associates must meet weekly reporting deadlines and work dependably and accurately. Routes cover designated stores in Hayward and Rice Lake, Wisconsin, on available workdays of Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. The position is permanent and part-time, with base hours averaging 7–14 hours per week across all stores; additional project hours are frequently assigned, with higher demand from January through June. Work is performed throughout the year, including holiday weeks.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for extended periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach six feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
