About The Position

ScanScape is hiring a permanent part-time Retail Scan Associate to collect in-store product data at assigned local retailers. Associates visit designated stores weekly for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks, and use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan product barcodes on displays and throughout aisle locations, including end caps. Associates also provide quantity information for about 45% of scanned products. Display scanning covers the entire store and can take several hours; client-requested Custom Projects, which occur almost every week, may add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The base workload averages 2–4 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional work, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, is frequently assigned for special projects throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Full scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. The listed route is a grocery store in Elroy, Wisconsin, with available workdays Tuesday and Wednesday. Associates must meet store deadlines and deliver accurate data. The role offers independence and some flexibility, alongside continuous physical activity throughout the workday shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.

Responsibilities
