About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retailers each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They use a downloadable app on a mobile phone to collect data that is analyzed to improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates also report quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

The role is permanent and part-time, with base hours averaging 4–6 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional special projects—typically 1–2 hours per week per store—are frequently assigned throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Associates complete weekly display scans and may perform custom projects involving more detailed product information in main stocking locations. Work is scheduled around weekly deadlines, including during holiday weeks, and store assignments may include grocery, convenience, drug, pet, or mass merchandise retailers. The position involves continuous physical activity and offers some independence and flexibility in working hours.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
