About The Position

Responsible for the salvage and recycling of donated goods and materials. This role involves operating machinery, recognizing proper material content, and understanding the mechanical and safe operation of equipment. The worker will also be responsible for emptying metal containers, separating salvage items like shoes, purses, and hats, and making proper use of available space and materials.

Requirements

Medium work, occasionally exerting up to 100 pounds of force and/or up to 50 pounds of lifting
Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds
Carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing, reaching, handling, hearing, talking, seeing and repetitive movement
Availability to work after-hours for special projects
Availability to work weekends and some holidays
Inside generally 100%, however, may include outside work on occasion
Limited emotional effort
Work environment routine with periods of isolated high stress
Short deadlines requiring some overtime
GED/High school diploma preferred
One (1) year experience in retail operations preferred
