About The Position

The Retail Sales role is a seasonal position in Nordstrom’s Holiday Gift Shop at The SoNo Collection. The ideal salesperson is passionate about fashion and styling and can cultivate and grow a customer following both digitally and in-store. The position involves serving customers, achieving sales goals, building customer relationships, and maintaining a customer-ready department. Hours and schedule vary by week according to business needs. The role may occasionally require performing duties in a department other than the one hired into.

Responsibilities

Set and achieve in-store and digital sales goals using selling tools, including text and social media.
Build lasting relationships with customers and provide service on their terms.
Give customers honest and confident feedback about style and fit.
Develop fashion and product knowledge.
Keep the department customer ready by filling orders, stocking, re-merchandising, completing price markdowns, and performing light cleaning.
Grow customer relationships by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
Occasionally perform work or duties in a department other than the one hired into.
