About The Position

The Retail Sales Lead is a part-time seasonal role at the Missouri Botanical Garden Gift Shop in St. Louis. The Sales Lead provides exceptional guest service, supports the store management team with day-to-day operations, and helps create an enjoyable, memorable shopping experience. The role involves engaging with guests, demonstrating products, and communicating product features in a welcoming and outgoing manner.

Requirements

• Prior retail keyholder, retail supervisory, cash-handling, and customer service experience.
• Strong merchandising skills.
• Ability to work irregular weekday, weekend, evening shifts through 10:30 p.m., and holidays.
• Enjoy interacting with people of all ages.
• Ability to proactively engage customers in a positive, welcoming, and outgoing manner and effectively communicate product features.
• Welcoming, positive, engaging, and friendly demeanor toward guests, team members, and venue staff.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to stand and walk frequently; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; occasionally reach, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to occasionally use ladders and lift up to 25 lbs.
