About The Position

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. You help provide a quick and easy customer experience while keeping the store clean and clutter-free. The role may involve working in different areas of the store to maintain the sales floor and stockrooms and help customers find merchandise.

The position supports sales-floor merchandising, cashiering, fitting rooms, and stockroom organization. Team members use store technologies, follow operational and asset-protection standards, and promote initiatives such as Nordstrom Rewards. The job requires continuous movement during shifts and handling merchandise, including bulky or awkward items.

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting them above the head.
• Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Keep the sales floor runway-ready by remerchandising, sizing, filling in, and straightening merchandise throughout the day.
• Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions; operate a point-of-sale system, bag items, and handle bulky or heavy merchandise while providing friendly service.
• Support fitting-room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
• Sort and return clothing to the sales floor to maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience.
• Organize stockrooms and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
• Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
• Adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
• Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
