About The Position

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you’ll work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, continually moving and collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. You’ll help provide a quick and easy customer experience while keeping the store clean and clutter-free. Flexibility is important, as you may work in different areas of the store to maintain salesfloor and stockroom cleanliness and help customers find merchandise. The role includes keeping the salesfloor stocked, sized, and ready through re-merchandising and straightening; assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms; supporting fitting room operations; sorting and returning clothing; organizing stockrooms; checking in and ticketing merchandise; using store technologies; following operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards; and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. The position requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching. Employees frequently use their hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling. The role involves handling bulky or awkward items, including reaching and lifting items above the head, regularly lifting up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. The stated pay range is $17.45–$18.15 per hour, with offers dependent on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses.

Responsibilities

Work with the team to keep the salesfloor runway-ready, sized, and filled through re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions, including operating a point-of-sale system, bagging items, and handling bulky or heavy merchandise.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Sort and return clothing to create a clean, clutter-free customer experience.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
