About The Position

AutoZone’s store teams provide frontline customer service, helping customers find the right parts and solutions for their automotive needs. Store employees maintain well-stocked inventory, assist with product selection, and provide advice to support the shopping experience while contributing to sales, store operations, and a positive retail environment.

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will deliver customer service by exceeding expectations and supporting customers in an essential industry serving the motoring public. The position involves customer assistance, sales, inventory and store operations, safety compliance, product guidance, installation assistance, and diagnostic support.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in automotive retail.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and ensure positive interactions through clear, professional communication.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates to create a motivated, productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions to enhance the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock merchandise, maintain organization, follow cash-handling procedures and loss-prevention policies, and help keep store operations running smoothly.
• Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including using personal protective equipment.
• Stay up to date on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
• Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
