About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a Retail Sales Associate who is passionate about music and helping customers find instruments and gear that fit their needs. The role focuses on creating a welcoming, engaging in-store experience, building customer relationships, and meeting sales goals. The compensation range is $19.61–$29.42 per hour, plus commission, depending on background and experience. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, other factors, and location.

• Proven sales track record and ability to meet sales targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, understand their musical interests, and recommend suitable instruments and gear.
• Meet sales targets and use upselling and cross-selling to enhance customers’ purchases.
• Maintain product knowledge, including current trends and product features.
• Build customer relationships, follow up to ensure satisfaction, and connect with the local music community.
• Organize displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
• Learn from feedback, seek solutions, and approach challenges with confidence.
