About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Member (Pawnbroker) at Value Pawn & Jewelry in Orange Park, Florida. The role offers a structured career path in a fast-paced retail environment, beginning with a five-week paid trainee program. Successful completion brings a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Team members may pursue Pawnbroker Certification for an additional $1 per hour, advance to Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader), and apply for Assistant Manager, which includes a six-month training program.

The position involves daily customer interaction and helping customers reach mutually satisfying agreements involving pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. The team member is expected to provide friendly, courteous, and respectful service, assist customers in person and by phone, process transactions, and perform store opening and closing duties. The stated pay range is $15.00–$16.00 per hour, based on experience, with monthly bonus potential based on store and individual performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Self-motivation, a positive and outgoing personality, and a strong work ethic.
• Pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.

Responsibilities
