About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Member (Pawnbroker) for its EZPawn location in San Antonio, Texas. This customer-facing role involves assisting customers with sales and pawn transactions, including reaching mutually satisfying agreements on items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Team members are expected to create a friendly, courteous, and respectful store environment.

New hires begin as Trainees in a five-week paid training program. Upon completion, they receive a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Employees can pursue a Pawnbroker Certification Program for an additional $1 per hour and may progress to Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader) or Assistant Manager, which includes a six-month training program. The stated pay range is $12.50–$15.00 per hour, based on experience, with bonus potential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Self-motivation, a positive and outgoing personality, and a strong work ethic.
• Pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
• Sales background.
• Bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers in person and over the phone.
• Process sales, loans, and extensions.
• Perform store opening and closing duties.
