Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find automotive parts and solutions. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, and offer automotive advice while supporting sales, store operations, and a knowledgeable retail environment. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service by helping customers with automotive needs and contributing to a positive shopping experience. The role involves recommending products and promotions, supporting teammates, maintaining merchandise and store organization, following safety and cash-handling procedures, staying current on automotive products and tools, assisting with select installations, and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to foster a motivated, productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions to improve the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies, and support smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies and PPE requirements.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
