Retail Sales Associate
About The Position
The Retail Sales Associate assists customers and helps maintain the store’s appearance. The role is responsible for customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance, with a primary focus on front-end operations. The internal job title is Front End Specialist 1. Requirements
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as a team player who engages with and serves customers.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work safely.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet and acknowledge customers as they enter and exit the store and approach the front end.
- Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently.
- Know current promotions and advertisements to answer customer questions and drive sales.
- Support Ollie’s Army and other donation programs throughout the year.
- Assist with receiving trucks, pricing items, merchandising products, and recovering the store.
- Maintain the store’s appearance and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
