About The Position

North 40 Outfitters is hiring a full-time Sporting Good/Gun Counter Lead in Omak, Washington. The role contributes to the customer experience through service, sales, product suggestions, stocking and merchandising, and keeping the department clean and organized. The lead also develops and motivates the team and safeguards company assets, while maintaining compliance at the gun counter. The position requires working scheduled shifts within the store’s business hours and flexibility to meet business needs; shifts may include weekends and certain holidays.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old to work around firearms.
• Experience and knowledge of firearms, shooting, scopes, ammunition, reloading, and accessories required.
• Ability to check and maintain paperwork accuracy.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts between Monday–Saturday, 7 a.m.–7 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.; flexibility is needed based on business needs, and shifts may include weekends and certain holidays.
• Willingness to share credit, work collaboratively, and define success collectively.

• Ability to work independently or in a group setting.

• Ability to spend 100% of work time on feet, including using ladders, rolling staircases, and pallet jacks.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of ATF Form 4473 preferred.
• General knowledge of sporting goods helpful.
• Previous merchandising experience helpful.
• Sales experience, merchandising, and computer skills are a plus.
